Week 7 - UNKNOWN WORDS??, Solo Interviews, and BUTTONNNSSS!!!

Week 7 was smooth sailing for our group! Our main goal was to come up with words that describe the essence of our private model and the essence of our public model. Due to our prior struggle with the Bella Simulation, in regards to having to come up with a word that defines our model, we wanted to go beyond foreign languages. We came across an article discussing obscure sorrows which is a dictionary that puts your feelings and experiences into single words. This was fitting since our trip to Tommy Thompson Park was more of an experience than anything. With some difficulty, we finalized our public model as Deja-Visite & our private model as Onisim.

While finalizing our word we were also finishing off filming our solo interviews in Mr. Mohamed's studio room. He allowed us to use his room and lights which is great since we were able to get away from distractions and focus as a group. The process of filming also ended up being a great bonding experience for our group filled with laughter and mutual support. Before we all went off to the break we made sure to brainstorm our ideas for our ideas for our integrative thinking sentences. We settled on two sentences that both used a benefit/model structure which is,"How might we expand the Onisim model to create a more welcoming environment for visitors?" & "How might er expand the Deja visite model to create more opportunities to teach youth?"

Lastly, we created buttons with our group logo on it so we can not only rep our group but have something to remember this experience by when it is gone. This week is definitely the calm before the storm since our presentations are approaching fast. We are moving forward with finalizing our script and practicing for our formal presentations in front of Rhiya, Noga, Mr. Essabhai and other important people.
